You did a really good job with this picture. You have excellent color balance and no noise. 


I always love seeing pictures of stairways. Especially ones where you can't see the top. 

I feel like it has a little religious sub-text to it. I can't help but be reminded of "Jacob's Ladder" from The Book of Genesis. 

Funny how the stairs in this picture look like they haven't been climbed in a long time.

This was shot at Batanes, a small island group at northernmost tip of the Philippines. It has about 300+ tiny steps down the mountain to a cove of smoothened volcano-stones. it looks old likely because it faces both the pacific ocean and the philippine sea/south china sea. there's lots of storms and strong winds there and the natural forces must have eroded the stonework quickly. plus, of course, the grass that grows all around. the island is so small, there are only a handful of people in this area. so no one tends the "garden".
